Diaphanous Charms,

Commissioned by the City of Mississauga for Light Up the Square Event

This is the second edition of Asli’s installation “Diaphanous Charms” in Mississauga, Celebration Square.

These charms are not only much larger and equipped with lighting, but also they are assembled in a completely different configuration.

They are quite a bit different than the ones she did for Supercrawl Festival in Hamilton.

Asli collaborated with Toronto based film composer Bret Higgins to create Illuminated Inflorescence`s soundscape, which elevated the work to the next level. II was observed by intense crowds of people non-stop until 7AM
